The project is located in the historical and cultural street district of Damao Alley, the core of the old city in Zhonglou District, Changzhou. It stands as a landmark on the urban central axis of Yanling West Road and serves as the first-generation radio and television signal tower in the memories of several generations of old Changzhou residents. The area integrates the remains of the Chenghuang Temple from the Tang Dynasty, residential houses from the Republic of China, old-fashioned commercial buildings from the 1990s, and modern commercial complexes. The television tower, as the visual commanding point of the area, undertakes the function of the main landmark for the revitalization of the old city at night.

The Light of Changzhou, Shining the Nation

With the integration of "old industrial memory + Jiangnan Dragon City culture + modern urban nightscape" as the core, and following the design principles of green and low-carbon, emphasizing light dynamics over texture, and giving priority to historical features, we aim to create an all-weather check-in light and shadow landmark in the city center, complementing the shortcomings of the old city's nighttime cultural tourism and commercial atmosphere, and building an integrated nighttime landscape system where "a tower dominates the entire block".
